Hey, I'm Ana
I am a project manager, a parent, and an expatriate living in Lisbon, Portugal.
Several years ago, I moved here with my family, and what began as a temporary assignment gradually unfolded into a fresh chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to Portugal wasn't part of our long-term plan. Like many international relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something larger.
The early months were challenging — new systems, new daily habits, new expectations. Routine chores felt tougher than they should.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, doubt, and a lot of hands-on learning. Yet gradually, routines settled in. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created Sprout Atlas Grove
Most online guidance was either corporate relocation advice or shallow travel content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical tips grounded in real life in Portugal.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Hands-on insights from living in Portugal
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site ISN'T:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not just another generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Portugal goes on, as does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I will continue recording what we find.
If you have questions about family life in Lisbon or anywhere in Portugal, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Ana
